GEAPS Foundation Announces 2025 Grant Program

Kansas City, MO – The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) Foundation announces today that $188,000 in funding is available for the 2025 grant year.  The Foundation is accepting applications through June 6, 2025. 

The GEAPS Foundation was established to support the development of new and innovative resources for training grain and oilseed supply-chain professionals. These resources complement the continuing education programs of the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (https://www.geaps.com). 

Applications are open to any organization, institution, or individual that can demonstrate competence and capacity for developing and delivering eligible projects aligned with the Foundation’s purpose.

Projects supported by the Foundation are intended for GEAPS members and, by extension, their employers. The highest priority areas for 2025 as identified by the Foundation are as follows:

  • Grain inventory management

    • Identify the importance of managing grain inventories

    • How to conduct a risk assessment on potential threats to the inventory 

    • Identify methods to reduce or eliminate those threats

  • Elements of supervision for grain handling and processing facilities

    • Including, but not limited to, soft skills development in conflict resolution, performance management, time management, problem-solving skills, change management, implementing new technologies, etc.

    • Including, but not limited to, task management of things like accounting, insurance, capital projects, budgeting, preventive maintenance planning, etc.
