Training the Next Generation of Grain Operations Professionals

Training the next generation of global grain and oilseeds supply-chain operations professionals to safely and sustainably feed the world is a rapidly growing challenge. Grain companies and supply-chain infrastructure equipment, expert services and technology solutions providers are confronting a maturing workforce and need skilled talent to sustain advances in operations safety, efficiency, reliability and environmental responsibility. Reliance on historical agricultural workforce roots and on-the-job training are inadequate and unreliable for meeting the demand for a well-trained workforce. While companies do the best they can to provide training, there is a need for additional trusted, credible and relevant technical training resources to augment what companies can do themselves.

The GEAPS Foundation was established to support development of new and innovative resources for training grain and oilseed supply-chain industry professionals that are complimentary to the continuing education programs of the Grain Elevator and Processing Society.
